Governance Residency
Full-day cognitive support · Moment: Breakfast · Lunch · Aperitif · Dinner · Duration: full day or multi-day · Format: continuous on-site presence · Designed for: boards, executive cycles · Outcome: uninterrupted cognitive performance

Board days are long. The cognitive demand of a full governance cycle — reports, decisions, disagreements, alignment — is significant, and most organizations manage it with catering that treats the people in the room as an afterthought. Coffee from a machine. Lunch ordered in. Dinner at a restaurant chosen for convenience rather than consequence.
Governance Residency is a full-day or multi-day on-site culinary presence for boards, executive committees and leadership teams navigating intensive cycles. Chef Paolo Salvati is present from breakfast through dinner, managing every meal and break with the same attention and precision. The food is calibrated to the rhythm of the day — lighter in the morning, sustaining through the working hours, considered in the evening.
The principle behind this intervention is simple: the people making the most consequential decisions in an organization deserve to be fed as well as they think. Not lavishly. Not expensively for its own sake. With the kind of care that communicates that someone has thought about what they need, at each moment of a demanding day.
Paolo developed this approach through years of cooking for extended gatherings in Tuscany — multi-day residencies where the quality of the table directly affected the quality of the conversation. The same logic applies to a board offsite in Dubai, or a three-day leadership retreat in the UAE.
Format: Full day or multi-day · Breakfast, lunch, aperitif, dinner · 6 to 20 guests Context: Board sessions, executive committee cycles, leadership retreats, governance offsites Outcome: Uninterrupted cognitive performance across the full duration.
